Our experts will use joint tape to bridge the gaps between the sheets of plasterboard. The tape will then be embedded in a jointing compound to strengthen the joints between the sheets and prevent cracks from appearing in the future. Next, a few additional layers of jointing compound are applied with a knife or trowel.
With this process, a final coat of plaster is not required as the jointing compound will be blended seamlessly into the surface of the wall. This is to ensure the joints are flush with the plasterboard surface for a smooth finish that is ready for paint or wallpaper.
